Day after a group of ‘unidentified pro-Taliban militants’ appeared at slain militant’s grave in south Kashmir’s Kareemabad village of Pulwama district, amalgam of militant outfits United Jihad Council (UJC) Saturday warned the said militants of “dire consequences” for opposing Pakistan and its flag.

In a statement, the UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain reportedly said that opposition to Pakistani nation and flag and support and praising Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) “reflects the intentions of group of gunmen masquerading as Mujahideen at Naseer’s grave”.

He said “it also reflects whose agenda they are carrying forward” and claimed that these militants “are creating confusion between mujahideen (militants) and people”.

Pertinently, on Friday evening, a group for unidentified militants appeared on the grave of slain militant Naseer Ahmad Pandit at Kareemabad village and addressed before people firing in air. The militants asked people not to unfurl Pakistani flags at their funerals “as they have to wage Jihad there as well for Islam”.

The UJC spokesman said “Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has been and is being used by enemies of Islam. Their hands are soaked in the blood of thousands of innocents. On the instance of India and other anti-Islam forces, they are trying to destroy the existence of Pakistan. So, it clearly unveils the reality behind support to this anti-Islam outfit (TTP).”

The spokesman of UJC, which is being headed by Syed Salahuddin, said this group of pro-Taliban gunmen has been identified and they are not associated with any “popular group”.

“The Jihadi leadership was to clear to them that if they don’t stop their shameful acts and doesn’t refrain from creating confusion and differences on behest of enemy then their end will be terrible,” he warned. He said the Kashmiri nation is sacrificing for Islam and freedom from years and “right now they are united under the flag of united leadership. To break this unity is the agenda of enemy,” he claimed.
